sausage mcgriddles

a new addition to the mcdonalds breakfast menu was introduced here in singapore. it has been on the US mcdonalds franchise for quite sometime but was just recently introduced in asia and the rest of the world. im talking about the sausage mcgridlles.

im lovin it!

The standard variant of the McGriddles sandwiches consists of sausage, egg and cheese served on a small pancake injected with maple syrup (yum yum yum) flavoring deep inside its griddle folds. The top of the griddle cake is embossed (wow!) with the McDonald's logo.

last week i had this for 3 consecutive brakfast days and i really dont know if this somehow helped or worsen my rice-starved diet. the nutritional value is quite questionable too. but whatev! im lovin this sandwich! and for me this is one of the greatest food inventions ever! lol! i love mcdonalds! (i love jollibee too).

"no mol lice"

huh? no mol lice?

here in singapore this is how they pronounce "no more rice". i LOLed when i first heard this from some hawker ladies here. we were like, "ano daw yon? kuto?". hehe

so what's the significance? well today marks the 7th day of my "no-rice diet". yipeeeeeeeeeee. i survived. no rice in 1 week. whoaaaaaa. good lah! plus i was able to help the world (lol) on the on-going rice shortage / grain-drain, di ba?

ok i cheated! my officemates who were promoted, treated us for lunch last thursday. i eat 1 spoonful of rice. but that still counts as zero rice no! for me who grew up eating 1-2 cups rice 3x a day! sometimes rice on merienda pa. but seriously, i thought it would be difficult. the first 2 days i was really craving for rice. kaninnnnnnnnnn. kaninnnnnnnnnn. masakit sa ulo ha. but thanks i survived. yay! no rice in 7 days (ok! 1 spoon is 1 spoon! happy? hmppft!). and i think i will be able to pull it off for at least another week. NO KANIN! NO KANIN! NO KANIN!

i will update you na lang wether I will be able to trim down (at least my tummy) in weeks to come. ciao!

two-face

picture taken from http://www.telegraph.co.uk

in this time and age, seeing babies born with abnormalities such as those conjoined twins, siamese twins, etc doesn't give me the shock factor anymore. blame it on the internet and media who sensationalized and documents every bits of cases of these birth defects.
the picture above is no exemption. this three-week-old baby from Saini village in Uttar Pradesh state, 30 miles north-east of the capital New Delhi,India is being hailed as a miracle child. Hundreds of locals are flocking to seek her blessing and, in keeping with Indian tradition, showering her parents with money. she's fed through her mouth and and sucks her thumb on the other.fascinating? hmmmmm for me? not so.
